Name Coloring Page Maker

Type your students' names, choose a design and print. Every child gets a coloring page with their own name in big bubble letters. Paste a class list to make the whole set in one go.

To save a PDF, choose Save as PDF as the printer. The names you type stay on your computer. They are never sent to us.

How to make name coloring pages

  1. Type a name, or paste your class list with one name on each line.
  2. Pick a design: Back to School, Fall, Rainbow, Space or Simple.
  3. Choose the words at the top and whether to add tracing lines.
  4. Click Print. You get one page for every name.

Ways to use name pages

  • First day of school: a calm welcome activity waiting on each table.
  • Name recognition: children find the page with their own name before they color.
  • Name writing: trace the gray letters, then write the name on the empty line.
  • Classroom display: hang the finished pages on a bulletin board or use them as cubby tags.
  • Portfolios: keep one from September and one from later in the year to see how coloring and writing grow.

Printing tips

  • Pages are sized to fit US Letter and A4 paper.
  • If the web address or date prints on the page, turn off Headers and footers in the print window.
  • If a page looks small, set Scale to Default or Fit to page.
